Well deserved recall to the Italian national squad.
Has been exemplary for quite some time.

Re: Ogbonna
Oggy has been immense this last couple of years. I’m made up for him getting the deserved recognition from the Italian manager.

Re: Ogbonna
He's always had some good recovery tackles in his locker, but, of course, once you make a mistake, you're at a disadvantage, and you can't always recover.

Haven't seen many recovery tackles from him recently, and for the best possible reason...

Re: Ogbonna
He was good in his first season, a bit shit in seasons two, three and four, but since then has been magnificent.

Re: Ogbonna
His potential and ability has never been an issue for me. His problem, I believe, is that he needs the right manager. He is not a leader and probably not a great self motivator. His poor spells came when Bilic abdicated from leading training and under Pelegrini.

That unfortunately is why he will never be an absolute elite defender despite having the tools.

He did well under Moyes before, if people remember. So this is not a surprise. And Italian defenders tend to age well.

Re: Ogbonna
He was absolute dogshit for about 2 seasons so he probably deserved a bit of flack.

He’s been excellent of late and long may it continue.

It’s Diop who is the weak link, always a mistake in a game.

My hammer of the year last season and has picked up where he left off. Justified his call up to the national team. Big presence for us. The one defender we can't afford to lose to injury on this form.

Seems to just go about his business without a fuss. Glad to have him on our side.

Re: Ogbonna
Him and the General have been excellent, Diop will have to wait, my only worry is that it gives our owners an excuse not to get another Center back in
